L 6824, with its registered office at Tržiště 366/13, Malá Strana, 118 00 Praha 1, IČO 62941488. CIBCA is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Photos at events

We often take photos at our events and publish them on our website, in our newsletter and on social media. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, just tell the photographer on the day. If you’d like a photo of you removed, email info@cibca.cz and we’ll take it down.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. When you first visit, only essential cookies are set. These are needed for the site to work: security, loading pages and remembering your cookie choice. Other cookies are only used if you allow them in our cookie banner:

  • Analytics: to help us understand how the site is used (Wix Analytics)

  • Marketing: to measure how effective our promotions are

  • Functional: to remember your preferences

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the site.

Our site also shows content from other services: an Instagram feed (Meta) and a Google reCAPTCHA check on our forms to stop spam. These services may receive your IP address when the page loads.

Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers who help us run CIBCA, and only as much as they need:

  • Wix.com Ltd.: website hosting, forms, events, memberships and newsletter

  • Wix Payments and Stripe: card payment processing

  • Fio banka: bank transfers

  • Google: reCAPTCHA

  • Meta: our Instagram feed

Some of these providers are based outside the EU, for example in Israel and the USA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by an EU adequacy decision or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also share data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Membership records: while you are a member and for 3 years after

  • Event registrations: 3 years

  • Payment and accounting records: as long as Czech accounting and tax law requires, usually 5 to 10 years

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe

  • Contact messages: up to 2 years

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • see the personal data we hold about you

  • correct anything that is wrong

  • have your data deleted

  • restrict or object to how we use it, including for direct marketing

  • receive your data in a portable format

  • withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email info@cibca.cz. We’ll reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Czech data protection authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, www.uoou.cz.

Security

Our website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the committee members who need your data can access it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
