☘️CIBCA Summer Golf

Fri 26th June saw CIBCA’s Annual Golf Day take place at Prague City Golf Club Zbraslav.

In scorching hot weather and a great course in great condition it was a good day out for all 17 players. A lack of buggies meant the conditions proved too arduous for two of us but the participation continues to grow. Sandwiches, drinks and bananas were provided on the first tee with the first group getting underway at 12:00pm.

Challenging conditions saw the top prize taken by Rolf-Jan Zweep on 35 points just pipping James McCoy on a countback after he also scored 35 points. The best female golfer was Simona Vlastnikova with a fantastic 41 points and also the best gross score of the day. The high handicap category (handicaps of 18 and above) was won for the second year in a row by CIBCA committee member Garret Byrne with 39 points. There were also prizes for nearest the pin on the 9th hole won by Frank Nourse (male) and Simona Vlastnikova (female) and longest drive on the 3rd hole taken by Rolf-Jan Zweep after a miscommunication from the course Marshall despite being 20 yards inside Frank Nourse. Any and all mistakes are being blamed on the sun!

This year we also had a Knight Frank team ball competition, generously sponsored by Richard Curran. Two teams managed to keep the ball in play for the full 18 holes with Garret Byrne, Rolf-Jan Zweep, Simona Vlastnikova, Nick Reader and Chris Guilds all getting a box of three Knight Frank balls.
