English language play: The Vagina Monologues

In 1994, Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues shattered taboos, offering the world a play like never before and creating new conversations about and with womxn. The play gave birth to V-Day, a global activist movement whose mission is to end violence against all women and girls. With humour and grace, this iconic, groundbreaking piece celebrates womxn's sexuality and strength. All profits will be benefiting ACORUS, whose mission is to help victims of domestic violence from all over the Czech Republic, in facilitating their integration back into normal life without fear of abuse.

Join us at A Maze in Tchaiovna (at their new location, Kafkova 18), with our cast of 15 wonderful womxn, directed by Karen McQuaid.

Shows: March 1st - 8pm March 2nd -7pm March 3rd - 2pm

Please email vaginamonologuesprague@gmail.com to reserve General Admission tickets.

Tickets are 250Kc, or 200Kc with a valid student ID.

For over 20 years, V-Day activists around the world have worked tirelessly to end harassment, rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation, and sex slavery. Today, the stakes could not be higher for this urgent work. In solidarity with #MeToo and #TimesUp, we believe women. We believe in their right to tell their stories and we believe womxn’s stories need to be heard – nothing is more powerful and empowering.

Come, be part of this unique event that is so much more than a play: It’s a revolutionary call for action to stop the violence now.
