The Irish-Czech business relationship is dynamic: bilateral trade in goods was worth over €2 billion last year and our trade in services is constantly growing. This business relationship comprises a wide range of companies, large and small, and many professionals located both in Ireland and in the Czech Republic.
One of the core missions of the Embassy of Ireland in the Czech Republic is to support Irish business and to further grow the Irish-Czech economic relationship. We work closely with Ireland’s state agencies for economic development, particularly Enterprise Ireland, which helps Irish businesses grow in world markets, and our national food and drinks agency, Bord Bia.
As part of this mission, the Embassy is working to create the first-ever, comprehensive Irish-Czech Business Directory, an online resource that will list companies and business professionals who are active in the Czech Republic. The Directory, which will be freely available and published online, will be a useful resource for trade promotion, for business networking and in supporting Irish businesses who wish to expand into the Czech market. It will also further the aims of the Czech-Irish Business and Cultural Association (CIBCA) which provides business networking opportunities in Prague and elsewhere in the Czech Republic.
I would like to invite you to participate in the project by completing the attached template and returning it to Henryk Paciorek (email) by 22nd October. I wish to assure you that information you provide will be managed carefully and processed by us in line with GDPR requirements.
We would be delighted to have you join us and participate in this exciting new project. We would be happy to keep you informed about its publication and I plan to host a launch event in the coming months for all the directory participants.
