Tip Of The Tongue

Tip Of The Tongue is an international performing arts project founded and directed by Anglo-Italian singer-songwriter, actor, and theatre-maker Daniel Zappi (www.danielzappi.com).

The project aims to produce and foster work with community at its heart, focusing on three main areas:

  • Professional Theatre: Producing original productions in Czechia and abroad.

  • Education: Delivering high-quality workshops and courses for youth and adults in Prague and beyond.

  • Community: Running a vibrant community choir based in Prague.

Professional Productions

Recent professional highlights include the theatre and music shows Shakespeare In Song and Francesco: The Extraordinary Life of St. Francis of Assisi. Both have toured throughout Europe and are set to perform this summer at the Verona Shakespeare Fringe Festival (IT) and Greenbelt Festival (UK), respectively.

Youth & Education

Tip Of The Tongue also prides itself on delivering high-quality theatre projects and performing arts camps for young people. With an emphasis on performing in English, the company recently staged original musical adaptations of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island (Bucharest, Romania) and William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rome and Ferrara, Italy).

Easter 2026 marks an exciting milestone as the company stages Fragments, an original production commissioned by the City of Lanuvio (IT), performed by students from both Leeds City College (UK) and the Castelli Romani region (IT). Closer to home, Tip Of The Tongue coordinates youth theatre projects in Prague.

The Tip Of The Tongue Troubadours

Last but not least: the Tip Of The Tongue Troubadours! This community choir, led by Daniel Zappi, has already grown to 20 members since its launch in January of this year. The choir offers a space to experience the joy of collective singing, harmonizing, and exploring a wide repertoire—primarily pop music—arranged by Daniel.

As an inclusive and multicultural group featuring over 10 nationalities across all ages, the approach is fun and accessible, requiring no prior knowledge of sight-reading. The Troubadours were recently invited to perform at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Prague, where they showcased a selection of traditional and modern Irish songs.
