Rhythm of the Dance - one of the most successful Irish dance and music shows will be presented in three Czech cities this time with a completely new program that combines virtuoso tap dancers, live music, rich set and impressive scenography, complemented by large-screen projections. Thrilling dance performance

The audience can expect an evening full of unceasing energy, where thrilling dance numbers naturally blend with calmer, lyrical passages inspired by the richness of the Irish musical tradition. The stage will feature perfectly coordinated dance pairs and expressive solos by spirited male and female dancers, whose steps tell stories reaching back to the roots of Irish culture. Throughout the performance, music and dance merge into one pulsating whole. Every movement is accompanied by live music - from the rhythms of the traditional bodhran to the delicate tones of the harp to flutes and violins. There is also singing in Irish Gaelic, which will transport the audience to ancient times and remind them of the rich Celtic heritage.

Irish culture again in the Czech Republic

Irish dance and culture have long since crossed the borders of their home. From traditional festivities and friendly meetings in pubs, their melodies and rhythms have reached the most important world stages, inspired Broadway musicals and influenced contemporary dance and popular music. The characteristic steps, fast pace and captivating musical power have captivated audiences from Tokyo to Toronto – and it is this energy shared around the world that Rhythm of the Dance is now bringing to three Czech cities. Choreographer James Greenan says of the upcoming show: “It’s not just about preserving Irish culture – we’re developing it and bringing it to the stage in a way that appeals to people across continents.”

A show that engages all the senses

Rhythm of the Dance is not just about dancing. It is also a visual and musical experience, where beautiful decorations, costumes and modern projections also play a role, which enhance the atmosphere of individual scenes. Dancers and musicians together create a connection between the past and the present – ​​from traditional folk dances to modern choreographic elements.

Strhující taneční vystoupení

Diváky čeká večer plný neutuchající energie, kde se strhující taneční čísla přirozeně prolínají s klidnějšími, lyrickými pasážemi inspirovanými bohatstvím irské hudební tradice. Na scéně se představí dokonale sladěné taneční dvojice i výrazná sóla temperamentních tanečníků a tanečnic, jejichž kroky vyprávějí příběhy sahající až ke kořenům irské kultury. Po celou dobu představení se hudba a tanec spojují v jeden pulsující celek. Každý pohyb doprovází živá hudba – od rytmů tradičního bodhránu přes křehké tóny harfy až po flétny a housle. Nechybí ani zpěv v irské gaelštině, který publikum přenese do dávných dob a připomene bohaté keltské dědictví.

Irská kultura opět v České republice

Irský tanec a kultura už dávno překročily hranice svého domova. Z tradičních slavností a přátelských setkání v hospůdkách se jejich melodie a rytmy dostaly na nejvýznamnější světová jeviště, inspirovaly broadwayské muzikály a ovlivnily současný tanec i populární hudbu. Charakteristické kroky, rychlé tempo a strhující hudební síla si podmanily diváky od Tokia po Toronto – a právě tuto energii sdílenou po celém světě nyní přiváží Rhythm of the Dance do tří českých měst. Choreograf James Greenan k chystané show říká: „Nejde jen o to zachovat irskou kulturu – my ji rozvíjíme a přinášíme na jeviště tak, aby oslovila lidi napříč kontinenty.“
